Happy Mid Holidays

Well here it is December 3 and we have gone from Autumn to Winter. On Saturday mother nature chose to present us with 7.8 inches of snow, which she is not done yet. They are reporting another 3-7 inches tomorrow. I think we can start singing White Christmas. Actually the other day when going to the drug store an elderly gentleman was walking down the hallway since "It is beginning to look allot like Christmas".
All is well here, we had a nice and quiet Thanksgiving, Ladena and her kids were not here and we missed them but we did have a good friend over for the day.
I had an angiogram on the 26th. My iliac arteries are not being nice. I have a recheck on the 26th of December to make sure this one took.
Kids are all busy doing what they do.
I have so much to do this month, decorating, cleaning, and baking. The last couple of years my health has been down so did not get much baking done.
Well enough for now.

Well....

Well since I completely missed a month, better write something. The last month has been a real roller coaster. Doctor appts, funeral's weddings you name it I probably did it.

Health is, doing pretty good I do have and angiogram scheduled for the 26th. Otherwise so far all tests are coming in good. Been feeling so so, for some reason have been having allot of nausea but have a pill for that and started having a strange pain in my shin. I am slowing going through doctors to find out what it is. Next week have an appt with my Rheumatologist he is next on the list.

Our weather is holding. It has been in the 40's which might sound cold but not for here. We have had snow flurries but that is all.

Been working on Knitting, and Plastic Canvas finishing up Christmas presents. Have started working on beading.

Kids are doing good, LaDena is going through some rough times right now but I told her to hold on for the ride. Holly has a new store the one she wanted, she is the manager. Erica is doing great at her 2 jobs. and Jenn is doing great at school.

Well not much else hope all is well with everyone. And I will try to be more current.

Happy Day to You

Well here it is Thursday and in a little more than a week and September is gone. Our weather is in the bouncing mode. One day hot the other day cool. I managed to catch a bad cough that is driving me crazy the doctor did put me on antibiotics to kill it since with my medical conditions I cannot take anything else. Have been having some problems with my MS so back to not driving again. Oh well getting close to the time of year I hibernate anyway.
Ladena's birthday is on Sunday, she and Todd are going to Duluth for the weekend and then she is coming in on Monday so we can do lunch.
Well not much else haven't had any appts but do have one Tuesday and then again on the on the 1st. Busy time of year.

Take care all

Fall has come

Well we turned the calendar 9 days ago and mother nature turned hers. It was 43 degrees this morning when I woke up. Tomorrow it is suppose to be 42 degrees.
Things have been going okay, a good friend of ours lost his mother last week. She was a very dear lady and will be missed.
So far this weekend I am batting 100% on the teams I follow. MSUM, NDSU, UND and the Vikings all won. I am playing fantasy football on NFL.com for the first time this year and the last I checked I was winning both of those games. Now this will never happen again.
Got to see pictures of my newest great nephews (twins) and they are little dolls. Well time to let the dogs out and go to bed, another week ahead.
Take care all.

Ok Update Time

Well this has been one week that I won't forget. On Sunday night my hometown was hit by a EF-4 tornado, many homes destroyed, many more damaged. I spent an hour on the phone accounting for my friends and family, everyone is okay. I also had my oldest granddaughter for most of the week during the day that was fun.
I had an endoscope on Tuesday they found an hiatal hernia and some scar tissue as well as a couple of ulcers that she biopsied, the results are back and she is sending them by mail.
Got my echocardiogram results back and everything is stable.
Been working on afghans and beading this week. Next weekend my two youngest daughters and my hubby and me are going to the NDSU Bison game, my youngest daughter and I get the stands while the other on and my hubby get the VIP box. Care to guess who will have more fun?
Our weather has been pretty nice. Upper 70's, low 80's. We did not get any severe weather. We have been so blessed in that area
For Labor day we are going to Detroit Lakes to spend some time with my oldest daughter and her clan. It is my grandson's birthday on Sunday but they have plans to spend it with him at a shooting demonstration.
Not much else has happened all take care

Man Late Again

Oh well, life has been busy again. My hubby and daughter worked on the bathroom all weekend they are laying a new floor. Hubby and I went out tonight and ordered the back door. So that should be here at the beginning of September. Can't believe I am writing that. Summer went way too fast.
Flooding in Oklahoma did not affect my father but don't know about my sister or brother. Got back to work today. Went pretty good, I do work from home bit sitting so long at the computer sometimes really bothers me.
Have an appoint with my GI doc tomorrow my reflux has been terrible lately. Increasing the tums and the Compazine helps but gotta find out why. Had an echo done, the doc said it was "okay" and will send me a letter explaining it. That was a week ago. No hurry I guess.
Well want to go and play on Pogo so had better go.

Hugs to all

Another day

Well we are into August, my goodness this year is flying by.

Had a Rheumatologist appt on the 1st, all is well, he started me on Trental to Help the Procardia. Ordered a Echocardiogram which I had today. My tests results were back, Pancreatic Enzymes looked good, the only thing that was up is my White Blood count and Platelet count. They just like to be high.

Weather has been good, we got some needed rain. Been working on knitting, with only 4 months to go til Christmas I had better get the lead out.

Till later

Sick of Doctors

Yesterday, Holly, went to the walk in clinic and when she described her problems what do they do well tell us what is the most important cause we are just a walk in clinic. Well she brought up the pain, when the doctor came in he looked at her sinus's, tried to get away I stopped him and asked him what about her shoulder pain, he checked that out and tried to get away again, I suppose the kidney pain has to wait until she sees her regular doctor. Yep he agreed with me.

No wonder I don't go to this clinic anymore. I have 2 doctors left here for 2 reasons (1) I really like one of them and I have to see him maybe every 5 years, and (2) the other one is the only one in town. I do go to separate clinic that is connected for some things but then it us again the only ones in town.

Yesterday I had an appointment with my Primary and he is running some pancreas tests, have not been feeling good and have had pain in just the right area. Tomorrow is the new Rheumatologist I sure hope he is better than the last one I had. Everything I have learned about my conditions have come from either attending conferences or what I find on the internet which is pretty sad.

Well not feeling that great today so going to get off the puter. Take Care all.

Hello

well as usual got ready to do the blog and dryer buzzer went off. Hubby is leaving for Dallas tomorrow so gotta make sure that he has something to wear.
Tomorrow is a busy day, dr's appt at 10 then have to be somewhere at 11:30. Afternoon is looking okay. Wednesday am going to a new rheumatologist hope he is better than the last one.

Weather is on the way back to HOT. Not much more of this hot weather I cannot believe that it is almost fall. I have so many projects left to finish.

This week when my hubby is gone I am going to learn how to use the scanner. I also moved my hard drive so it should be easier for me to hook up the digital camera to my computer.

Went to Karoake last night, came home after 2. Hey I did better than my youngest daughter she left when we did and she is still not home. Better she stays at someone's place then try to drive after drinking. She got into an argument with a non-smoker the other night. It was so funny. He was complaining because of her smoke, he was in a smoking bar. She has my attitude. I have mellowed over the years.

My second to the youngest must think I do not want to talk to her, she called on Friday but Jericho was one and I told her I wanted to watch it, well last night as we were leaving she came over to show her boyfriend the dog, I told her to make sure the door closes as she leaves.

Still working on plastic canvas. Did some knitting this week but with temps it really gets hard to get the ambition up to put it in my lap.

Well enough for now Take Care All

Hot Enough For You

Well another week is here. Happy Birthday Jenn (she is 25 today).

It is getting hotter and hotter here, today we are suppose to have heat indexes at 108. But tomorrow it is only suppose to be in the 80's.

Well went to the fishing tournament on Saturday. Todd (my daughter's boyfriend) finished 12th out of 50 (GOOD JOB). He had the largest northern at 6.8 lbs. Afterwards my daughter (Ladena) had a party at her place, got to meet some new people, even the boy another one of my daughters (Holly) has been dating, he seems pretty nice. Holly found out how to ride a ATV and there was not stopping her then. I rolled a motorcycle when I was a teenager and have be afraid of anything like it since. Another Daughter (Erica) went tubing on the Ottertail River. She came back pretty red. Jenn (another daughter YEP 4 of them) kept a quiet day. She does karaoke so that is her thing (can't get sunburned that way.)

Went to my PA at the MS clinic on Monday, everything still seems to be stable. Good for me.

Last night we went out for dinner with friends. I swear I have never seen such lousy service. My hubby and I have been there 3 times, he has been ther 4 times and he said he was dissatisified 3 of the times so we are done going there. Oh well there are many other places we can go.

Been working on Knitting and Plastic Canvas. Yesterday spent almost all day organizing files on my computer so I can burn things to CD. Probably will do the same today.

Well not much else take care all.

Happy Friday

Another week has come and gone. Our weather is now deciding to get hot and humid which for this time of year is normal. It will stay hot now until mid to late August then we start the cool down. This summer went by way to fast.

I have my granddaughter, Kristina, until tomorrow when we take her home. She is learning how to do plastic canvas. She is a very quick learner.

I sent a letter to my nephrologist which he would have received on Monday, In 2005 I was dx'ed with FSGS which is a kidney condition. Sometime last year I lost a kidney due to an occlusion of the artery. And as always with my luck it was the other kidney that had not been tested. Well I wrote him and asked him to explain what is going to happen now. One dead, one diseased I only have 2. I have 3 Doctor's appointments coming up, one with the MS Clinic, One with my Internal Medicine doc and one with a new Rheumatologist. I am making a list of symptoms that I have had and going to take it to all three appts and ask them which is under their realm of care and do something about it, if it isn't then it will go to the next doc.

They did rule that is was 2 small tornadoes that touched down in Western Cass County on Sunday night and did that damage. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

Well enough for today gotta read some mail then get the dishes done. Ta Ta for now.

Nothing really new

I got yelled at for not updating my blog enough so better get in gear. We had some severe weather on Sunday night west and northwest of here, several downed trees, cropland destroyed and they were hoping for record yields.

We only got rain here, and now it is getting hot again, oh well it is summer.

On sat we are going to Detroit Lakes, it is about an hour east of here, my daughters significant other is fishing in a fishing tournament and we are going to go and hopefully celebrate him getting a lot of fish.

Kids are all doing great, Holly got great reviews in her manager meeting this morning. All the kids are doing good, (oh oh what is going to happen now.)

Been working on mainly plastic canvas since holding yarn in my lap is a little hard when it is in the 80's and 90's but I know I need to get back to knitting.

Take care all, Till later.......

Another week

Well today I am going to attack my craft room. My daughter had stayed here for a couple of weeks this spring and now it is in a disarray.

Weather is hot, hot, hot. I am not tolerating it this year.
My grandson is seeming to be better with the antibiotics. I found out that 2 of my other grandsons were in a car accident and they missed a broken rib on one, it ended up puncturing his lung. Now we found out that he is in a coma but do not know if it drug induced or not.

well better get to work, well at least get dressed.

Goodbye for now

Man life has been hectic

Well the last week has been busier than a one-armed man in a wall paper hanging contest in a wind storm. Yesterday had to move my daughter and I do believe there is not a muscle in my body that doesn't hurt. I cannot believe how much junk she had. But we did get it done. She still has to clean her old apartment. She moved into a older style home with the dark woodwork I like the apartment. She got herself a beautiful white cat, but when we were moving yesterday she could not find the cat. Well she finally found it in a kitchen cupboard.
Have been concentrating on my plastic canvas. I got some neat patterns off the net for Christmas Decorations. Suppose this week I will get back into my knitting. On Wednesday I stole my hubby's car an spent the day going to craft stores. I was by myself so if I took my time no one could complain. I was in search of suppliers of finishing items I needed. Plus I went to a a store that is very specialized and costly but has beautiful products.
Received news this week that my grandson is pretty sick. He has some sort of infection in his body and they cannot figure out what and where it is. He has severe headaches and fevers. He is only 5 years old. They did put him on some antibiotics so hopefully that will help.
My father and sister and her family live in Oklahoma City and have been having alot of rain. Which last year all they could talk about was the terribly high temps. We have been abnormally wet for this time of year also. They are talking severe thundertorms again tonight. What I don't like is that they usually occur overnight so you can't really see anything coming. Oh well I just sleep through them anyway.
Well long enough for today.

Monday

Well is seems like I managed to sleep through the wicked weather this weekend. We had Thunderstorms on Sunday morning and night and I slept like a baby.
Things have been going well, been working on crafts. We had the Blue Angels in town this weekend which is a Navy precision flying team. They were awesome. Received news this weekend that a dear friend of mine died on June 6th. Rest in Peace Linda. She has suffered with Scleroderma for a number of years.

Thursday, June 7, 2007

Happy Thursday

Well the rain missed us here. They were predicting severe weather and all we got was a few sprinkles and some rumble of thunder. Did not get as much done last weekend as I wanted too and this weekend and this coming weekend I am going to Minneapolis as my hubby's niece is getting married. He is not too happy I set up and appt at the IDS tower in Mpls on Friday at 4pm. Which means I am going to have him downtown Mpls at rush hour on a Friday afternoon. I am so talented. Well it sounds like my dad got moved okay. He is already meeting his neighbors. I always new my dad to be shy but that is not the case.
Otherwise all is going well, we went to Rib Fest last night, I managed to eat about a rack of ribs, and some carmel and apples. I did find some that I could not stand otherwise it was pretty good.
Well nothing else so gotta go.

Saturday, June 2, 2007

Man oh man

Well we do not have to worry about a drought right now. They are issuing flood warnings all over the place. They have had alot of rain to our south and it has to go somewhere. Most of you know that the Red River that flows through Fargo actually flows North instead of South.

Haven't gotten alot of knitting done this week. Other things kept popping up. After I get off the computer today I will get dressed (it is only 1:09pm) and load the dishwasher then start on the knitting. What i need to do is go through my craft room and find out where all the crafts are at so I know what I have to do to finish it. I also will learn to use the digital camera this weekend and start posting some pictures.

My dad is moving to an apartment today, (glad I am in North Dakota and he is in Oklahoma). My middle daughter moves at the end of June but she has help I get to be the official finger pointer, you know the one who says there it goes. I am glad she is moving closer to us. My one daughter lives 7 blocks away and has been there for almost 2 years and I have still not gotten to her place, well if she did not live on the 3rd floor.

Well not much else, guess I should practice being a duck (quack, Quack)

In rememberance

Well did go to Kansas City and enjoyed myself. Tried new restaurants and did alot of relaxing and knitting. We left Monday morning and came back very early Friday. It was a might bit on the windy side but I did not blow away.
Got some work done on an afghan and a blouse that I am making my daughter.

In rememberance to all those who have given their lives and/or their futures in the quest to keep out country free THANK YOU. My gratitude to you and your family cannot be measured. I have been lucky and I have not known anyone who gave the ultimate sacrifice but yet in ways I have know then all. They walked the same paths that I walk, go the same places I go and look at the same sky that I do. You will never be forgotten.

TGIF

Well another week has come and gone. Been a rather quiet week. I have been working on my knitting (can't say what as the person it is for reads the blog.) Had tragic news this week, our former insurance agent was hit and killed by a train. Seems that this is the week for accidents in Fargo.
Weather has been beautiful as usual for this time of year. Temps in the 70's and 80's with the lows in the 40's.
Oh yeah, had an appt with the PA at the MS clinic. Everything is doing good. No answers to questions though, basically we have to wait and see if it continues. Still not on any meds for it as it is stable and we do not want to risk the side effects.
A dear friend of mine is being tested to see if her pancreas is acting up again. She had surgery in January for a neoplasm and so hoped that she was done. I definately know how she feels.
Tonight I am going to try to go to Karoake. Been trying all month but something or another comes up. So once again I will try.
Hubby is going to Kansas City next week for a meeting. I would go but have a Doctor's appt for follow-up on my gall bladder surgery. Who knows I might get a wild hair and change the appt. I do so need a vacation. And it would give me so much free time to knit.

Well enough for today. Hope all are well.

Monday, May 14, 2007

Happy Monday

I hope all had a great Mother's Day. I went to my oldest daughter's place and the other girls joined us. Nice and relaxing. We have chicken done on the grill, potato salad, tuna salad, lettuce salad and brownies. Well we were pretty healthy.
I am recovering nicely, just a little pain now. Yes, I did bring my knitting with. There are very few places I go that I do not carry my knitting. I have what I call my no-brainer project that I take, I do not need the pattern and it is a very easy stitch. Once I am able to get my hubby to teach me on how to use my digital camera and the scanner I will start posting some of the work I am doing.
Did some research last night and am going to try contintental knitting and maybe even try some magic loom knitting. I am always looking for new ways of doing old things.
Hope you all have just a wonderful day and enjoy the spring weather.

Thursday, May 10, 2007

Update

Well the angioplasty went as well as can be expected they were able to open both sides and further look at the kidney showed that I have lost it. On Sunday after awaking in pain I went to the ER to only have to undergo emergency gall bladder surgery so this is recovery week so nothing really to report.

Wednesday, May 2, 2007

Tomorrow

Well tomorrow is the day that I have my angioplasty set for. I need to be at the hospital at 7am with the procedure at 8:30. Hopefully it will be good news.
Went to my GI the other day, so far everything is looking good. Since I met the age of 50 this last year I have to have a base line colonoscopy and will have that next Thursday.
Started a sweater with lace last night. There was a yf intstruction in it and I looked forever to find out that in the USA we use YO. Today I am setting up my crafts to start back on working in plastic canvas. Still working on the other WIP's so not getting bored.
Weather has been absolutely beautiful, low 70's that is what I love. Except I saw some bees the other day. YUCK
Well gotta get going will write after the procedure tomorrow if I am awake

Friday, April 20, 2007

Update

Man it is raining out. They say we have already had a 4 tenths of an inch with a possibility of 4 inches before it is over. Well good weekend to stay inside and knit.
Took my granddaughter to space aliens today. She really enjoyed herself playing the games and ended up with 195 tokens. The food was pretty good too.
Started another afghan today this will be another on that is for me. Will post it when it looks like something.
Finally over the bug I think. Of course set up an appt with the doctor for Tuesday. My hubby got home safe and sound from Minneapolis.
Really hard watching the news right now. With the VA shootings, the Johnson Space Center shooting one has to really wonder what is going on in this world. I heard today they said the shooter in the VA shooting was bullied as a kid, well so was I and I have no inclination to shoot someone. Never have.
Well enough off to play some pogo before bed. Talk to you later

April 17, 2007

Today was a nice day. Temps in the 60's light wind. Worked on my blog, joined some forums and went out for supper with two of my daughters. Picked up the movies United 93 and 8 Seconds. Did not get any knitting done today but will tomorrow. Did walk through the craft section of Walmart but did not buy anything. Right now I have several afghans in progress, 2 shirts, Care Bear dolls.
My health so far is okay I guess. Meet with the radiologist on the 1st about the blockage in the iliac arteries. Still have some residual upper left quadrant pain but don't know yet what is causing it. Will give it a couple more days. Started the Chantix but really don't see much change. But will continue on it.
That is all for today.

Hello and Welcome
